Just a quick question..... Do I cut them out just below the soil , or do I have to find the runner and follow it all the way back to the mother plant and cut it there?? Charles has officially become a thug......Not happy......I've only bought one own root and it had to be Charles....Stupid....He sure is a looker though....

RE: Suckers

Dig down to the runner (usually shallow) and tear the sucker out. You can't stop him from making runners. Why not transplant into the lawn where you can mow the suckers? Or get a grafted one from pickering and don't plant too deep.
