Joseph's Coat Rose & Black Spot

I have two beautiful Joseph's Coat roses. The blooms are incredible, but after early spring, it's a constant battle with black spot in our very warm & humid climate. But they survive & come back to bloom again.
I've tried spraying sulpur (not great results) & am getting ready to try a liquid copper spray. I prefer not to use stronger, chemical stuff. I pick up all the diseased leaves & discard, use mulch, etc.Any other suggestions?
Thanks so much!

Both sulfur and copper can burn rose foliage. Be sure the plants are well hydrated and spray in the morning. Don't apply copper on a drizzly day--it is less likely to burn if it dries quickly. Don't use sulfur in very hot weather. I've used the copper soap product Soap Shield successfully. Wear standard PPE when applying copper products.

Try a soapy water and baking soda spray. You have to re-appy it after every rain which is a pain, but it's easy tp mix up (I just dump everything in a spray bottle and shake it up a little.)
