You can hear summer has come in my garden

As long as no cicadas can be heard it's still spring as far as I'm concerned. Cicadas in my area start their monotonous song when temps exceed about 86F. Today I heard the first tentative notes. Summer has come in my garden.

Summer has definitely come here too! Last Monday and Tuesday we had temps over 100 degrees F.

Fortunately it's not cricket season here yet, although we've had some hot spells earlier in spring. Maybe they can't be fooled and knew it wasn't summer yet. I could do without that sound forever but they haven't seemed very concerned with my wishes.
