I have said in the past that this rose is most often buff with dark red on the reverse of the outer petals, but sometimes all pale yellow, and other times all pale pink. I love the color variability of the old tea roses! Well, right now it has decided to have buff blooms and some medium pink buds, and some medium pink blooms all at the same time. I love love it. Here is the first of 3 pictures:

What a deliciously beautiful rose this is. It's wonderful in all of its color variations, and is everything a tea rose should be.

Just when I thought I would content myself with Lady Roberts and not worry about Anna Olivier, after looking at your beautiful photos of this wonderful rose, I know I really want her. Thank you Jackie for the great photos. Tricia

How large are the blooms? It is a gorgeous rose. I think I want it because 1) I cannot find it, 2) it has the same color variation of Peace which I have a sentimental attachment to. Please let us know if anyone is starting to propagate it for sale again...

Yes please tell us where you got it, or (if I understand correctly) is it no longer in commerce?

| The blooms are not huge - about 3.5 to 4 inches when fully open. I know that the Historic Cemetery in Sacramento rose garden has a plant, but I do not know if they root it for sale at their annual Open Garden. On HMF there are 6 US nurseries listed as selling it (be sure to click on the "list all nurseries" button at the bottom of the list, otherwise you will only see those which support HMF), but of course you would have to check with them. Beware of the "all yellow all of the time" imposter that is in commerce - that is the wrong rose. Anyone who wants cuttings of my rose is welcome to them, including of course nurseries - just let me know. My old original plant, which we think is at least 90+ years old now, is still going strong. | I forgot to mention - the collection which now belongs to the Friends of Vintage Gardens should include a plant, as I have given cuttings of mine to Gregg over the years. Jackie |

How wonderful of you to share, you have so many treasures! I got to visit Linda yesterday and get some cuttings. They are happy in their box in the bright shade of my patio for now. The little piece of my 'Fields of the Wood' that broke in shipping is looking good considering it was started and then we had the heat wave. I am hoping to get better at rooting so I can share small plants.

I have just contacted RVR to see if they would like any cuttings of AO, because I get up to Ashland occasionally, and I could take them some. Will let you know if I get a response. Jackie

You are wonderful! I would be surprised of any nursery turned this away With it being in such demand. Also most people will place a multiple order, so would be benificoal to the nursery

Jackie, I'd love to get cuttings from you, from your gorgeous Anna Olivier' to root for myself but also to donate plants to the Old Rose Celebration. How can I contact you? Luxrosa
