I just discovered this rose and am wondering about it. Would appreciate hearing from anyone growing it what their opinions are about it. Thanks,

Oh well, the vendor has sold out of this rose. Doubt I'll find it anywhere else. Diane

I have 2, purchased from Colvos Creek Nursery (which has some of the most fantastic deals on species roses I've ever encountered) in Washington. They were HUGE too when they arrived, in 4 inch pots I think. They would have been $6 each but the seller said they'd been "nibbled by deer" so were only $3 each!!! All I noticed were some leaves missing, but the canes looked fine. Neither have bloomed yet. One is in the ground and is taking off, the other has outgrown a 1 gallon pot, and I need to plant it. In the picture, the long canes coming out of the box are Polyantha Grandiflora. Melissa

You were fortunate Melissa. By the time I found out about the nursery they were going out of business and were out of stock on this rose. Sigh! Diane

Dang! Going out of business? I wondered because my last email inquiry wasn't answered. But what a nice guy, and he had some really neat species roses. Do you have any details Diane? Melissa

If you really want this rose, I can layer it for you. With all the heat on the way, I don't know how long it will take, but probably I should have something for you in the fall. Melissa
