I have Boscobel on my wish list and was wondering how he is doing for posters who planted him this year. Pictures are welcome too:).

I have had it since this march and have already had two bloom cycles. Mine is still in a pot , and I haven't fertilized yet ,, so it could be better. No black spot , but maybe the nursery treated it ? Personally I love it and glad I have it! It did have some blooms with the two toned coloring on the David Austin ad and a couple that were more solid pink . Lasts a while and looks great !

Thank you, lily, for those lovely pics. If I just had more room in my garden--I've been drooling over pics of Boscobel since the first time I saw it in the David Austin catalog. Boncrow--glad to hear the good report on its floriferousness and disease-resistance. Kate

I planted two of these as grafted bare roots this last fall. They have up to now proved to be healthy (mildew is the main concern here rather than blackspot), reasonably floriferous and behaved with regards to growth pattern. The flowers even have a light but noticeable fragrance. Nik

Forgot to mention , I think it smells great ! It's very humid here in tn , so I feel like it's a medium strong scent. It's not like , " wow so fragrant ! " but it is a good scent more than just noticiable , to me.

I planted it this years. It has beautiful flowers, they last long (also in heat and rain), and they have very strong fragrance.

Thanks Lilyfinch for sharing your pictures of Boscobel! It's very pretty and I love the color. I am glad to hear it's doing well for you.

Yes I can also attest to the relatively quick repeat. This is a flushy rose though not a continous blooming one. I have 3 pairs of roses planted side by side at the same spot, Boscobel, Queen of Sweden and Darcey Bussel. Out of these its Darcey who seems the most reluctant to bloom. I should also state that the 'petal frying' and 'flowers gone as fast as they come' season has started here but Boscobel flowers are proving quite resilient despite receiving the full blast of midday and afternoon sun, which is a welcome change from quite a few other Austins I grow.
