The damask Marie Louise?

Just ordered it from Heirloom . Would like to get some info can't find a lot.

Congratulations on your choice: she's a keeper. ML actually looks like a Gallica to me: unthorny, rather drooping habit, darkish foliage, lush cool pink blooms: nothing of the Damask disorderly habit, thorniness, and lettuce-green soft leaves. I've had mine for about a decade, and the only thing that I don't like about it is that I've never been able to get my grafted plant to get off its rootstock and begin suckering around, and it doesn't make new growth readily.

Mine suckers broadly. I'm always cutting suckers out from the base of other roses. I agree with Melissa about the Gallica influence. I love the very fragrant spring blooms. It grows in a little thicket of canes here 4 X 4.
