It's lovely, here on the SoCal coast. My plant is still small, so I can't really comment on habit, etc.

What a beautiful rose! Is it healthy? Does it fade much? Finding a good non-fading healthy yellow can be so difficult. I have an old Cl Golden Showers, which is both, but I figured out that the blooms don't fade because they fall apart in 24 hours, so they don't get the chance!

I've been drooling over that one for a while. I am so glad that you will "test" it for Florida.

I am especially interested in scent. I have way too many poorly scented roses here and have told myself no more purchases unless I know for sure they are wowzers.

I've got this rose, and it smells wonderful. In my top 5 for scent, along with Francois Dubruil, Mary Magdalene, and Tamora.

Any updates on this one? It looks quite beautiful.

Mine came home in June of '14. It bloomed several times while still small. Repotted it into a larger pot and it is growing away now. The blooms have a very nice scent, so far.

I had this, but gave up on it due to the insanely wicked thorns. It was very large with arching growth.

You think it could be trained on a trellis?

I was successful in training mine on a trellis. I didn't have it in enough sun, but it trained well and had very nice blooms.

Yeah, I definitely think it could be trained.

Jackie, I was about to recommend Freedom as a strong healthy unfading lasting yellow, but when I looked on HMF I couldn't see that any US nursery stocked it. According to one of the references, it didn't stand the heat extremes in the US, which surprises me - I find it virtually bulletproof.
