| Rugosas do really well for me. They seem to thrive in my sandy soil and be quite happy in drought with little supplemental water and no or only tiny amounts of fertilizer. In other words, very low maintenance in my mediterranean climate. So why not add more! I am especially interested in those that produce lots of hips for both wildlife food and for myself and my dogs to snack on. Which have been successful for you? I have multiple spots I could put in a rugosa, some are on the shady side and would be best for roses that want to get huge. Melissa |

| Melissa, I haven't grown these but check the following: Apparently Piro 3 has the highest Vitamin C. And Rugosas bred by Georg Ruf are supposedly delicious. |
