| I received this as a mystery rose from Rouge Valley last spring, and so far, its my only mystery rose that I have a good guess for what it really may be. Do you think it may be Louise Odier? If so, I'll prob need to move her because Zeffy is planted about 4ft to her left.
Thanks, Tammy

Very possibly. Mine has those tender red rimmed new leaves, and the thorns and rose look like mine as well. Here Louise Odier is more apt to get rust or PM on its older leaves than blackspot, but that is a function of our differing climates. Rosefolly

Thanks Rosefolly...from all the pictures I've seen it looks similar. The buds on this one do get PM in cooler weather, but of course we dont have rush here. Difference in climates like you said.

I don't know it, but I'm surprised more sleuths haven't chimed in.

Sorry...we don't have RUST here. That's what I get for typing this on my phone :)

That is a truly lovely rose that looks like Louise Odier but please don't take my word for it. However, I just wanted to comment that from what I've read it seems to be a more upright grower than Mme. Isaac and so perhaps there might still be room for both. My tea roses, for which I thought I'd left plenty of room, are starting to intermingle with each other, which doesn't look bad right now, but could grow into an interwoven mess that's impossible to care for in the future, so space is something to consider. I've seen pictures of LO which must have been in the right climate for it because it was huge and absolutely gorgeous. I hope someone here can give you a positive identification. Ingrid

I'm really hoping that's what it is. I've looked through their website quite a few times, and that is the one I keep going back to. There's a couple of centerfolias that resemble it, but this one repeats. Tammy

Did you figure out the name of your mystery rose, Tammy?

I grew Louise once. According to my memory, it had a lavender tint. For me in Oklahoma, it was basically a once bloomer just like Gertrude. Later in the summer it might push out a bloom or two, but for the most part I saw it in all its glory once. I have never seen another rose that was quite that color, but what I had, and what I remember could be distorted. Have you looked it up in Help me find? Sammy
