I hope the 6.1 earthquake near Napa this morning did not affect the Historic Rose Garden in Sacramento. We barely felt it here in San Rafael - just enough that it woke us up at 3:20AM, but nothing in our house even moved. The automatic gas shut off thingies which are supposed to shut off the gas if they are shaken did not even trigger. Must live in California - droughts, wildfires, and now earthquakes - waiting for the plague of locucts... Jackie

We felt some rolling in Pacifica. Went on for 15-20 seconds but no damage. Our cat didn't seem fazed by it. Hope people in the Napa area are OK. Diane

Only felt like about a 3 or 3.5 here in Livermore, for about 20 seconds; rolling and rattling is all. My 4 parakeets were upset about it and it took a while for them to settle down after. The cats, I imagine, didn't mind, from previous experience.

rocking and a rolling here in Richmond, across-the-Bay-from-San Francisco, but no damage. I was watching a d.v.d. when it happened. My cat, "William" jumped off of his chair, and looked back at it as if to say "what's wrong with my chair?". Lux.

My friend near there said it was quite something and a bookcase fell over on her husband but they are okay I had to giggle one east coast friend was checking in on everyone to make sure they were okay. Even family in Phoenix...... And no asking for locust seems the grass hoppers have arrived. Along with the big surf

Hope noone in here suffered personal injury or material damage from the quake. Both I, my family and my family's original homeplace have suffered from quakes. I know how it feels like living in a quake prone region. Nik |

Glad to hear so far that everyone is OK. I think I'll stick with damp, snowy Michigan. Not into that feeling the earth move beneath my feet stuff!
