| Profusely, yes - but unlike some ('Charles de Mills' immediately comes to mind), its suckers tend to have short stolons, so the colony expands slowly, rather than firing up new canes a mile and a half from the parent plant. |

| This rose is mannerly in my garden and doesn't travel far and wide. It's a real favorite of mine. Diane |
|
| Not in my heavy clay. |
|
| I have own-root Apothecary and Rosa Mundi interplanted as a hedge, and I can usually control the spread with the lawnmower. Like Trospero says, the suckers have a short leash, and like Ann I also have heavy clay soil, which helps. The suckers are well-behaved enough that if I decide I want to extend the length or breadth of the hedge, I can allow the suckers to slowly fill in the empty spot without fear of rampant invasion. |

| I have heavy clay and it can spread widely (about 8' or more) but slowly (in about 30 years). Cath |

| It does sucker, but it is not nearly as bad as La Belle Sultane. Along with the rugosa Dart's Dash which is its equal, that rose is the most adventurous traveler in my garden. Rosefolly |

| Like Ann, mine doesn't wander far--not early as bad as my species Rugosas or La Belle Sultane. My Dart's Dash doesn't sucker much, either. |
