Can anyone tell me how large Souvenir d'un Ami from Roses Unlimited grows? Also, can you please include where you are growing it?
Thanks.

I've been growing this rose for about four years in a hot, dry area of Southern California and it's turned out to be a very difficult rose for me. It doesn't bloom that often, and has barely bloomed at all this year after a winter with little rain, even though it's watered every day. I consider it my most problematic tea rose and would not grow it again. If you have the room Le Vesuve blooms a lot more but it does grow rather wide and has small, nasty thorns. Still, I love my two and wouldn't be without them.

I have Souvenir d'un Ami (can't remember if I got it from RU, however). It took a couple years to get started but it is a great rose for me. Very healthy and blooms a lot. Nice, full, fragrant blooms. It is an area that gets partial shade, but that is a good thing in my hot, forever sunny climate. It is about six feet tall now, but has a rather upright, slender shape, so it is not too wide.

Great rose; one of my favorites.

Wow, mine is only about 3 1/2 feet tall and as mentioned hasn't bloomed much at all, really just a very short spring spurt and nothing since then. So discouraging.
