My Jenny Duval plant came from Vintage, last spring. It bloomed during June, and the flowers seemed to be correct for JD, bearing in mind that it's a very young plant. About 10 days ago, I noticed two BUDS- clearly not what I was expecting to see on a once-blooming rose which had already passed it bloom-time. What's going on? I'm sure the easiest thing is to say that I have a plant which is NOT Jenny Duval, but perhaps there is another explanation? I do love a good mystery. Zachary.

Alika just had a new flower after it's bloom in June and Gallica officianalis has rebloomed a bit as well. They sometimes do that in mild winter climates as far as I understand. Diane

I agree with Fogrose, sometimes I see Rhodies reblooming in the fall sometimes and they are supposed to be once bloomers in spring/early summer like most once blooming roses. One of my gallicas still was blooming in late July and it has never done that.

None of my gallicas have ever rebloomed here including Jenny... but your climate may vary.

Diane, it actually formed new buds after the bloom cycle was over? That's what happened with my Jenny Duval. My hedge of Gallica Officianalis with often have a very slowly drawn out bloom cycle, due to my cool, foggy spring/summer, but I've never actually noticed NEW buds forming. Fascinating.
