Share a Palatine order w/me So. CA

Would anyone in So. CA like to share in an order from Palatine with me? I could drive over and get my rose when it arrives. I only want one or two and it would be nice to share the shipping costs which are high to CA if you only need/want a few like me.

Kitty

Sounds like a fun idea, Kitty. I just investigated the distance between where I am and Disney Land. It's roughly a hundred mile round trip in distance. If your car gets 20 mpg (which, with traffic, may be generous unless you drive a hybrid or something else more "efficient"), it's going to take five gallons of gas and a number of hours to make the round trip. At $4 a gallon, that easily pays for about $20 worth of postage. I'm not saying it wouldn't be fun meeting you, but it does put a bit of it into better perspective...Kim

I am going up to the LA area at least twice a month so it's easy to do for me. I would even drive to San Diego or up by Kippy's. If you want to make an order Kim, I will happily share in the cost of shipping. Please write to me through Gardenweb and I can give you my part of the funds as soon as you want to order.

I wish I was ordering some, but I have a list of roses I want for the lower garden and am trying to stick to the list (not that one or two might call from the nursery in January) I don't see any of the roses on my list, guessing they do not do as well up there as they do down here.

Hope you find some one!

Thanks, Kitty. I'm going to pass. They have some beautiful roses, but nothing I want for breeding. My space and water are limited, so I only add things I want to play with. Kim

My offer is still open for anyone south of me toward San Diego. I will probably order sometime next week.
