| By cottony cushion scale! I was amazed to find them -- they've been perfectly healthy and bloomiferous plants in pots. I spent much of yesterday handpicking the little devils. Logic suggests there are more. I also pulled off a whole bunch of leaves, thinking that better air circulation would be a plus.
The question is what to do now, other than maintaining vigilance. The sources I looked at seemed to indicate that most pesticides aren't much good against cottony cushion scale, and I'm reluctant to do that anyway -- it would be a last resort, if at all. There are a lot of references to how effective vedalia lady beetles are against cottony cushion scale, but nobody seems to be any help at all with where to purchase them. There doesn't seem to be a Beetles to Go site, at least not that I could find. Any and all suggestions welcome,
