Hello everyone, im new to this forum, but i've been lurking for several month trying to get as much info on roses as possible. Im ready to make my first purchace and i need our advice. Im looking for a fragrent white or near white rose that can be kept to 5'x 5'. The area that i want to place this rose will get 3 1/2hr. of sun in the winter and 6hr in the summer. I've been looking at hybrid musks but the one that i love will get to big(penelope and prospity). Any advice you can give will be appriciated. I forgot to say that im in the south florida area.

Two teas that I grow that don't get too large are Spice and Westside Road Cream Tea. I can't say how well either will do in your local conditions but for me both bloom a lot and have no disease. They're both smaller roses that can be kept at 5 feet or less.

Both of those rose are nice. Ive had my eye on spice for another sunnier location. The description of the scent they gave at vintage gardens is "intense", so i think that would do just fine.

oh yeah i like Mrs Joseph Schwartz also, thats another rose i had my eye on along with Duchesse de Brabant,i just never concidered them for my shadier location. I went out and look at that area again and its getting about 3hrs of sun, and im hoping for something that will still flower good in that amount of sun.

Welcome to the Forum---There are many rose-lovers in your Zone who will be willing to help you.
I live in Zone 6b7 and teas do not do well for me but I do love the pictures I see here on the Forum----good luck with your search
