what I will receive from Vintage's French offering

Here is what I am going to receive:
Hommage a Soupert et Notting
Alexis Lepère
Earl of Eldon
François Arago
Laurent Carle
Here is what I requested but will not receive:
Earl of Nanjing
Eugene Boullet (really wanted)
La Motte Sanguine
Comte de Torres
I was really disappointed, particularly as they said the didn't expect any varieties to "sell out" immediately. I placed my order bright and early.
Anyone else care to share what he she requested/received?
Susan

I was also trying for Earl of Eldon but have not heard from Vintage yet.

I also was disappointed as they sent the email at 11pm for ordering to begin the next morning at 9am. I didn't see the email til a bit after 9 and needed time to research. Wish they had given us a day or two to study.

Well, I was up early that day and did my homework...I just got the impression there was no sense of "rush" to getting my order in.
I will be more than happy to take cuttings of Earl when the time is right if someone will explain how I should do it. I really really wanted Boullet and Earl of Nanjing....
I'm more than glad to pass on cuttings of anything anyone wants.

In that last offering I ordered one rose, Soyeuse de Lyon. I really wanted it and will be getting it.

I agree Diane, I read the email the next day about 10am. No point in even looking at the list by then I figured.

I got notice yesterday that I got all 5 of my choices! First time this has happened. Figured I would be lucky to get one. Guess this will be my last Vintage order, so really thrilled to get these treasures.

Soyeuse de Lyon
Earl of Eldon
Souvenir de Lucien Massad
N 92 Nanjing
Jacques Latouche

but not Earl of Eldon which is what I wanted the most.

Oh well.

Diane and Josh and anyone wanting Earl of Eldon (or anything else I will receive), I will gladly share!
Is it possible to mail you all "cuttings" which aren't rooted? I haven't rooted anything before but I got some great suggestions on another thread.
I was looking through the Vintage catalog last night. Amazing how many roses they had! Gosh.

[The last few are the replacements for the French ones that didn't make it - ]

Camille Bernardin
HP - Gautreau / 1865
Large, full, rounded blooms of deep maroon crimson, sweetly scented, on a stout, upright plant of antique appearance...

La Motte-Sanguin
HP - Vigneron / 1869
Stunning blooms of deep, velvet red, very full, quartered and heavily buttoned in the centers of the open flowers...

Comtesse Henriette Combes
HP - Schwartz /1881
Domed, quartered blooms that reflex dramatically ...Rich, rose-pink can be tinted with salmon...

Niphetos, Climbing
Climbing Tea - Bougere / 1835
Niphetos is a very early Tea, and this climbing sport, found in 1835, counts among the handful of climbing Teas that have survived nearly 200 years...

Triomphe de la Duchere
Tea-Noisette - Beluze / 1846
Very fragrant, double, rose pink flowers in large clusters, with great continuity of bloom. A treasure!

Autumn
HT - Coddington / 1928
Burnt orange streaked red, double flowers are sometimes bleached orange-buff on the outer petals; set off by handsome glossy foliage. One of the great beauties of the early Pernetiana roses.

Jacques Latouche
Hybrid Tea - Mallerin / 1934
Vermillion, orange, and salmon blend in a vibrant yet subtle interplay in this rose...

Halloween
HT - Howard / 1962
Richly scented very large blooms, full of petals of deep yellow burnished with gold, often blushed with cream, flowers nearly flat when expanded....

Silver Spoon
HT - Weeks / 1985
Very pale lavender blooms are perfectly scrolled and open slowly...Fragrance is superb; strongly tending toward the Damask scent.

I will also be glad to share anything I have. Got prime spots picked out for these roses - hopefully by next spring they will be growing well and I can take cuttings.

The cuttings directions on the hartwood roses site work well. Try it outside when its cool or inside under a full spectrum plant light. You need to keep them cool or it has a low success rate.

Here is a link that might be useful: rooting roses link

Well, every time I've gone to their site to order, I've been so confused I just let it drop.

STILL no confirmation of my order, which is supposed to arrive October 10. I guess I'll definitely be able to call this a surprise package!

Today I received a beautiful little plant of 'Luter'/'Wildenfels Gelb' as the last rose I will receive from Vintage. A bittersweet day, for sure.
