Yesterday I made a trip to Chamblee's in Tyler. I saw that a number of OGR's, moderns and Buck roses are in the clearance section priced $2.50 for a gal size and $5 for the larger- 2-3 gal size. Among them I saw: Louis Phillipe, Green China rose, Mrs Oakley Fisher, Climbing Souvenir de Malmaison, Lafter, Softee, Colorific, Pink cascade, Purple Splash, and close to 15 Buck roses. It's unfortunate to see these dropped from stock, but the employees told me these have not been selling. I picked up a climbing souvenir de malmaison.

That's kind of sad to see Louis Phillipe has not been selling well for them. Mrs. Oakley Fisher is a fantastic old hybrid tea. I like Softee too; smooth as a baby's rump, which is rare in the rose world. Thanks for the heads up. Would be worth a drive to Tyler. I like Chamblee's, but as they go more and more "modern" with each passing year, I am thankful we have The Antique Rose Emporium to help us keep the old roses available in Texas. Randy

At that price, I would buy up every Mrs Oakley Fisher. I love her!
