My fall bouquet

It has been several months since I've been able to post or visit this board...I was new back in the spring. I got a new job over the summer, and have four small children, so my gardening took a backseat for a while. Luckily our grasshopper invasion in the summer didn't derail my babies too badly...here's a picture of my gorgeous fall bouquet from last week.

They are:
Angel face
Belinda's Dream
Mrs. B R Cant
Ducher
Gruss an Aachen
and a little plumbago thrown in for good measure. :-)

Thanks for looking.

Hi Rachel, good to hear from you again. The bouquet is gorgeous; I'm glad your roses are doing so well now.

That is gorgeous! I love the blue with it - I made a bouquet for a dinner party I had on Sat, and it was all roses until I found one deep purple iris blooming, and then added some salvia leucantha blossoms which were the same color as the iris - it made the bouquet.

Jackie and Ingrid, thank you for the kind words. I do love irises. Ours got shredded all the way down to the ground in the late spring by our veritable plague of grasshoppers. Two of my three fancy bearded iris are on the comeback. I don't know that they'll bloom this fall, but they are stunning next to the roses. Your bouquet sounds lovely.

Welcome back to the Forum. Your bouquet is so appealing with many of my favorite colors--just scrumptious! What is the rose that seem to be bicolor in the front next to Angel Face? I love it. Diane

Diane, that is my Gruss an Aachen. That rosebush is actually covered in buds right now, and has about 4 or 5 blooms already open. For such a small bush, the blooms are quite large. It is one of my favorites. Oh, who am I kidding...they are all my favorites.

Here's today's pickings. That big Belinda's Dream is so gorgeous, I stare at her every time I walk into the kitchen.

This one has

Mrs. BR Cant
Belinda's Dream
William R Smith
Gruss an Aachen
Angel Face

Oooh, I am so jealous. Is that huge pink rose Belinda's Dream? Love it. I have to be content to view my pics from earlier in the season. Not too much is left blooming around here up north. A few stalwarts carry on, and of course, Julia Child will go down with the ship blooming to the end, while all the other roses jump overboard (great metaphor-ha). Thanks for posting your delicious bouquets. Diane

Hi Rachel,
Oh, your bouquet is stunning, thanks for making me smile:) You are so lucky to have the space and the sunshine to grow all of these beauties:)

I am particularly drawn to Belinda's Dream, I must learn more about this rose...I was attracted to the same one in yesterday's GW postings.

Speaking of irises, I took a vacation day yesterday and did some garden clean up...and it looks like my white bearded iris is ready to bloom! I'm in Toronto, what's up with that?!
