Do you ever have dreams about roses? If someone had asked me yesterday I would have said that I couldn't remember any. But last night I had a strange one. In the dream, I was walking around a flea market/trade show kind of event when I saw a booth where a woman was selling bouquets/vases of David Austin roses. I admired and sniffed a few, but I was really drawn to one vase that had two different flower types in it. One flower was really large and very double, one per stem. The other was a cluster-flowering type. The cluster as a whole was the same size as the single flower, only made up of dozens of little blooms that were exact replicas of the larger flower. Both types were the same shade of pink and had the same fragrance. I told the woman it was amazing that she was able to find such a perfect match between two different roses. She said she couldn't take any credit for it because they came from the same plant. She said it made both kinds at the same time. The dream ended before I could ask her the name of that rose. I think the dream means that I've been spending too much time clicking through the online catalogs of rose nurseries. But what about you guys? Does anyone else dream about roses?

OMG yes!!! I dream about roses at least one night a week. The last dream I had I dreamed I woke up and there was a rose bush growing out of my husbands chest while he was sleeping lol. You are not alone lol. I mainly have rose dreams when I am having a hard time making a decision on a color or which rose to choose.

Sometimes dream of otherworldly gardens & the roses there are as magical as the place. So in that sense yes, I dream of roses. I so love to visit those gardens! Perhaps it's all one garden, since I never seem to experience all of it no matter how long I wander. I find myself at the starting point on a curve in my this-world garden. As I round the bend, the other-world garden "entrance" appears, marked to my left by a climbing rose of incredible beauty that arches above to mingle with plantings in my garden on the right. That unknown rose does not grow in this garden, so signals another garden tour is about to begin as I walk through into wondrous splendor...Heavenly dreams.

My roses have been keeping me up instead! I have been planting some of the 1gs and bigger in hopes of a wet winter and a better chance for next summer should it not be as wet as hoped. Building berms to trap runoff etc. Even though I am exhausted at the end of the day I am also so wound up from seeing it move from my head to the garden I can't sleep. Arrgggggg. But it is looking good (well through my rose colored glasses that is)

Amazing dreams, folks. I don't dream of roses, though I did go to the Petrovic website last night for the first time in a while. I'm glad to hear your nightly wanderings.
