I.D. this hybrid musk?

Here is a picture of a hybrid musk which has grown in our garden for at least 40 years, and maybe more. It is among a group of roses my FIL planted in the 70s or late 60s. I think he bought them all from ROYAT.

It reminds me of Ballerina, except of course slightly more double and a darker color.

Does anyone recognize it, or have any guesses? (It really does not have any white on it - that is just where the sun was hitting it when I took the pic).

Thanks for your help -

Jackie

Just a guess: Will Scarlet?

Thanks! I looked WS up, and it was darker than mine, and also it had way rounder leaves. Someone on the rose forum suggested 'Belinda', and I think that is what mine is - same leaves, and exact same looking blooms.

Robin Hood could also be a possibility.

Hmmm, yours does look a little more fulsome than most specimens of Vanity I have seen.....but Vanity does do that thing of having a few extra petaloids (Bishop Darlington style) so a possibility, maybe. The colour is exactly right.

My Vanity is much "redder" than this and my Belinda has more petals. Not much help. Sorry.

Thanks so much. Vanity's leaves are completely wrong, so I am eliminating that. Robin Hood, however, is as good a match as Belinda, so I guess I will have to go back to my rose list and put in "or Robin Hood" next to this rose!

I think Robin Hood is more red, less pink, but mine are both in the shade.
