| Of course, y'all know we were at the Old Rose seminar, this past weekend, in Sacramento. I was really really happy to have brought home a little plant of Mrs. Ethelyn Emory Keays "Faded Pink Monthly." (In commerce as "Mrs. Keays Pink Noisette," I think.)
I suspect that this rose must propagate fairly readily -- so there is the prospect of more plants being available for next April's Open Garden and rose sale, at the Historic Old City Cemetery. And it's a beauty. Mrs. Keays called this rose a Noisette -- and maybe it is, but there is the intriguing thought from Dog Seidel that it may instead be a Polyantha, of the Marie Pavie type. In either case, it has lovely foliage, and who could not love these soft pink buds opening to white blooms. I am SOOOOOO glad to have it! Jeri |

| I love this rose ... I was pushing it on everyone who would listen at the rose sale in Sacramento on Saturday night. I hope it does as well for you as it does here in Virginia for me. |
| I really think it will, Connie. I'm SO glad to have it! Now, since you grow it, do you think of it as a Polyantha, or a Noisette??? Jeri |
| Jeri, Faded Pink is terrific here on my coast so it will do well for you. It's happy in part shade here and just keeps blooming. Connie, you are definitely a rose enabler. Glad to have met you. Diane |

| Thanks for the word about a little shade. It opens up the range of places we can put it. If it does really well here, we can share it with others in the area. Jeri |
| My FP Monthlies are still blooming. A whole new bloom cycle just started on one of the plants. What a rose! Diane |
| The little plant we brought home from the Seminar in Sacramento -- it has about tripled in size, and is covered with buds. Jeri |
| HMF says occasional repeat bloom. The name says monthly. What is your experience? Cath |
| We have not had it, but since October -- but it has tripled in size, and put on several sprays of buds, now just opening. I'd say it is truly ". . . yue ji . . . " i.e., "Monthly." From what I have observed thus far, I can buy the speculation that this is an early Poly-Tea of the 'Marie Pavie' family or type. Jeri |

| Thank you for the prompt reply, Jeri. Cath |

| Cath, I live near San Francisco. I've got 2 plants I bought in April nd one or the other has been blooming since then and they don't lok like they're quitting any time soon. Diane |
