| Hello. I know it's not "antique" but thought I might find some comrades here who grow Ivor. Boy, this rose is amazing! Bloom and growth all summer...non stop...I can hack it back a bit and keep it where it is or I can move it and let the 7 ft canes do their thing...I'd like to hear how others grow it and photos would be great. Mine is young but the canes mostly want to run along the ground. Susan |

| Hi Susan Happy to oblige with pictures. My Ivor's Rose is much more hot pink than I thought it'd be, since it was promoted as "coral pink" and it's in with other coral toned roses. Like yours, mine is very loose caned even after about 5 years, and I can only dream of 7 ft. canes. I suppose the longest cane is about 4.5 feet along the ground, and if I didn't prune it back in the spring it might be longer. The best thing about it is the wonderfully glossy foliage without a hint of blackspot, and relatively consistent (but not profuse) blooms throughout the summer. Oh, and in the bloom to the left, you can see some interesting mottling of the bloom which appeals to my variegated loving heart. Nice full double blooms, and some surprises waiting to boot! | I was very tempted to get this rose. Maybe I will now. Thanks for the post and the photo. Sherry |

| Thanks Nipstress. I love mine too. Super health and growth. Mine is a hot pink too. No coral to be seen. I haven't had any mottling yet either. I'm just wondering what to do with all the canes???? Mine has not been pruned which may account for the length... Susan |
