I'm attaching a picture of Miss Lowes Variety which I planted 2 or 3 years ago. If anyone has any advise on whether I planted it incorrectly and/or if I should cover up with soil the "trunk" for lack of a better word, I would appreciate it. If you can see in the pic, it looks like a stunted tree rose. I thought I planted it with the soil level to where all the canes are emerging. But, I think I had more organic material such as mulch on the top layer than I thought and after scraping away this very light, broken down mulch I see this "trunk." I hope I've explained myself well. Any thoughts appreciated. Oh yes, the plant is vigerous and healthy.
