October always brings more blooms for us! It is a welcome reprieve from the summer doldrums. What's in bloom in your garden? Share some pics! Josh Bouqet is of Heritage, Jude the Obscure, Sharifa Asma, and 'Victoria' salvia.

That's beautiful; my roses are loving this cooler weather, too, the colors are really coming out. I want cuttings of your Victoria Salvia! Come visit, I'll take you to Babe's for chicken fried steak for lunch!

Got a few blooms on my HTs--but I don't have very many HTs. My minis are blooming, but not very showy, but most of my full-sized shrubs aren't doing much of anything--except my 3 Home Runs that just never really quit blooming--but they are out in the (small) front yard--so not much to see in the main gardens in my backyard. There just has not been a fall bloom as such this year--darn it! Kate

So beautiful. That salvia is a stunner.

I somehow missed this gorgeous bouquet yesterday. The deep blue salvia is a perfect foil for the pink and peach roses. I'm not sure I've ever seen a fully open flower of Jude the Obscure. Does it stay closed until almost the end of the life of the flower? Ingrid

Thanks everyone! Ingrid, Jude does tend to be "shy" in the sense that I rarely see it fully opened in cooler weather. In hot weather he will open up, but other than that he remains cupped and then shatters. Somehow the fragrance manages to escape the bloom. Josh
