Do any of you out there grow this Noisette? Is it a climber, or not? How big does it get? thanks, bart

I do not grow it, but the Beales website says it is a climber and gets to 15ft. Given that all roses seem to grow way shorter in the UK than they do here (warm zone in No CA), I would think it would be a tall climber in most places, unless you are in a really cold zone (where tea noisettes would be problematic anyway).

Yes, that's what I'd think, too. But it gets so confusing cruising around on Internet; different nurseries seem to have different opinions! On Becky and John Hook's site, it is not listed as a climber. I consider them to be extremely reliable, but small errors on an Internet site can easily happen, especially since it could well be that the rosarians themselves are not the ones who do the site stuff! Then, on the Vintage site (I sure do hope that they will maintain their site even after they close, as a reference, because I find it very helpful and informative),it is illustrated as having a habit like that of Fellemberg, shrubby and twiggy, but able to get as tall as a person at least,so it could be used as a climber.HMF says nothing at all about it's habit; enigmatically it says "see Longworth Rambler",but if you do so,all you get is a description of a climbing rose, bred by different people,no photos either...hopefully somebody who actually has the rose will weigh in, but I thank you for your comment, Jackie, and consider it helpful ,because it gets a discussion going, and helps articulate the perplexities! bart
