David Austin or OGR selection Advice

I am currently trying to plan my rose shopping list for spring, and I would love some help/ advice! I am looking for a pink / or darker pink rose to be planted next Scepter'd Isle, and Sharifa Asma. More pink than salmon colored . . . Strong fragrance is at the top of my list. I live about 50 miles south of Dallas, so we have hot and humid summers here. These will be planted on the east side, so they will only be getting morning sun, and will be shaded through the hottest part of the day.

I'm leaning towards
Princess Alexandra of Kent
Lady of Megginch
Gertrude Jekyll- but I feel very weary based on the discussions I've read on it. haha
Brother Cadfael
I love the look of Ebb Tide (although it's not pink), but has anyone been able to grow it in Texas and it do well?
Radio Times

How have these above done in hot summers and does anyone have any other D.A. or OGR suggestions?

Since you mentioned a possible interest in old garden roses, I want to recommend La France, a favorite rose of mine with large, full-petaled and extremely fragrant blooms. It had been disease free for me, but today I noticed some of the older leaves had rust on them. Souvenir de la Malmaison is a wonderful, fragrant rose that is in bloom for me for most of the year. I would not be without either of these roses.

The Dark Lady is a very fragrant and seemingly healthy Austin that in my soil was too red but otherwise had beautiful, large blooms on a healthy and fast-growing plant.

Both La France and Souvenir de la Malmaison are wonderful roses, but wouldn't form much of a contrast with Scepter'd Isle or Sharifa Asma. If you want more contrasting colors, I'd definitely go with Princess Alexandra of Kent--big fat blooms, full rich pink color, fragrant, disease-resistant, about 3 ft tall (or a bit taller). She's gorgeous!

Radio Times forms a beautiful bloom, but the color contrast would be more muted. Otherwise, RT has most of the traits you are looking for, although I have no idea if it is disease-resistant.

I definitely would not recommend Gertrude--although her bloom/fragrance are terrific, she is a very poor rebloomer, and her thorns are some of the most vicious I have ever bumped into!

Hope that helps.

Thank you Ingrid and Kate for your replies! I have decided to go with Princess Alexandra of Kent mostly because I realized my space is a little smaller than I realized.
I have added La France and Souvenir de la Malmaison to my wish list though! Amazing how that list always keeps growing longer and longer. . . . ;)
