| This alba rose could be used as a climber in the warmer areas. But is makes a nice specimen bush with hard pruning. I think the photo says it all about how attractive it is with the rose red buds. |

| She's also an incredibly tough rose -- almost any old cemetery where ANY plants survived is almost certain to have at least one 'Mme. Plantier.' Jeri |

| Lynnette, Thanks, and do you have a picture of the Madame pruned to stand up? I just let mine sprawl over a bank. No spray, no water, no fertilizer, trimmed once a year with hedge shears, and a thousand perfect flowers in June. Lost her last summer to rosette disease, though. |

| I only allowed the stronger canes in Madame Plantier and then when she started to bend over at the top, took them down. It does require a lot of work but then as I only live for roses.... |
