I was wondering if anyone has had any experience growing Etoile de Hollande in Texas or how it does in hot summer heat? I tried searching, but I didn't come up with much. If anyone has any other comments on this rose, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

HMF says it is OK to zone 9b, so it should do OK. As it is red, I would plant it in partial shade (especially in the afternoon), so that it does not crisp. Jackie

do try to get the climbing EdH - far better than the bush.

And my personal experience is that this is a rose that does better grafted than own root. I have had the climber both ways, and it was definitely more robust when grafted. The shrub I had only as an own root. I ended up giving it away some years ago.

Thank you all! I think all of my locations should receive very good afternoon shade save one, but it won't be in the afternoon sun for very long. I am definitely going to get the climbing version. Does anyone have an photos of the climbing version as a whole? Most of the pictures I've seen have just been of the flower. I do have one EdH climber, but it is only a year old, so it's very small.
