Here is another good OGR that is on the Palatine website. She grows tall and upright with a good fragrance. The blooms always stay neat in my garden and so she is a favourite. I don't like roses with bad hair day flowers. |

Don't forget that it's nearly thornless.

Considering she is the Princesse de Lamballe, you could take the hair/bad hair day theme in many directions. A beautiful rose named for a very brave person. I'm glad to see her and would love to have her company in my garden :)

An exquisite rose. The typical bluish-green leaves of the albas set the blooms off to perfection. Ingrid

Lynnette, where did you get your Princess de Lamballe--and other gorgeous OGRs you sent budwood for to Palatine? Did you import any yourself??? I haven't ordered from Palatine before, but they are definitely piquing my interest with some very rare and stunning OGRs....... Melissa

I imported from Ashdown, Vintage, Beales (got Lamballe from him) Poulsen to make sure the OGRs were what they said they were. Sometimes you can get a named rose but it doesn't the quality of the original. Do give Palatine a try as they will be selling a lot more o my OGRs when ready.

Lynette, are helping in any way the new owners of Heirloom in identifying their antiques? One complaint a lot of gardeners had with the early Heirloom was mis identified OGRs. I ordered P de L from Palatine this fall.
