I find this rose really beautiful. Seems on HMF there is much discussion re: mildew. Just wondering if anyone grows it. Thanks

I grew it and the blooms were beautiful, but it mildewed badly here.

I have a young Thomasville Old Gold that I recently dug up and temporarily potted up in a container. It was necessary for me to remove this rose from the path of deer constantly chewing on it. The plant I got my cuttings from was absolutely stunning and I was so excited when I was offered cuttings from it and more excited when I saw that both cuttings rooted. The mother plant was absolutely healthy, as is the plant that I now have. I also see that it has really pretty new foliage and is not very thorny. Molly

I'd love to give it a try. Having a hard time getting ahold of it. I think Linda at Long Ago Roses has it. Susan
