Even though I have more or less given up Austin, I never got around to growing Lady of Shalott. It's the only Austin I am curious about, and am wondering how its resistance to Blackspot is? The disease pressure in my area is high, so if a rose is moderately susceptible I can guarantee it will defoliate. Thanks! Josh

It's not immune to BS, if that is what you are asking. On the other hand, it is better than average. Mine is still fairly new, so I can't make any long-range predictions yet. Kate

I agree with Kate. I hesitated to say anything that might discourage you.

As I understand it, there are several different strains of black spot; so a rose that resists the fungus in one area may not in another as there may be another type of black spot in that area. If you love the rose, try it in your garden and see how it does.
