Hello from South Korea,

I need to order some Noisette and other roses for a project in Seoul. Does anybody know of a reliable nursery that ships internationally? I would prefer to order bands.

Thank you for your help!

Im new to roses and i could be wrong. But korea has cold winters if im not mistaken. I dont think noisette do good in cold. I could be wrong. But i hear Mme Plantier is part noisette. And its a great rose. And will live in cold.

Thank you for your suggestion. The garden is situated in a nice micro-climate with a southern exposure and a large building providing protection from cold Siberian winds. Korea has cold winters but Seoul is a bit warmer due to the urban heat island.

Like i said im new to roses. I looked and most the noisettes are good to zone 6. So hopefully that means i can grow blush noisette if i do the same thing you are . Sorry you should wait for the pros on this site to respond.I am all about fragrance. And im zone 5b i would love to grow blush noisette. Thanks to your question i might get to grow something i thought i couldnt.

It is worth trying Peter Beales Roses in England. He sends his roses worldwide.

Thank you! They have almost everything I was looking for.

Peter Beales will only ship bare-root roses afaik. In fact most European nurseries will only ship bare-roots. This nursery though will ship own root bands http://www.frenchtearose.com/ although I don't know if they will ship to Korea. Countries which require phytosanitory certificates or have quarantine requirements usually pose a problem.

Rogue Valley Roses in the state of Oregon, USA also ships own root band sized roses. They sell over 20 varieties of Noisette roses ( https://www.roguevalleyroses.com/rose/class/noisette ). According to their "International Orders" page, some countries require dormant season shipping, and it also sounds as if they may be required to bare root roses before shipping to some countries.

I have no personal experience of any of these nurseries, but the attached is a list of rose nurseries in Japan. Surely the shipping costs would be less expensive than from England, if that is a consideration.

If these do not help, you can find specified a list of nurseries by countries at the top of the page. Best wishes, Gean

I will look over these nurseries today. Thank you all for providing the names and info about each one. I called the Korean Agency for Animal & Plant Quarantine and they told me that all plants must be bare root and accompanied with a phyto certificate. Thank you again!
