Munstead Wood in sun

I have not seen any mention of Munstead Wood's petals frying in the sunshine. My new plant's first flush last year was beautiful, but all her later blooms, fried as they opened.
Has anyone else found this?
I have moved her to another pot beside Pat Austin, so that she can share her sunshade.
Hopefully, that will work.

I had some trouble with it in the summer. It seems like one of those roses that asks for extra water. The leaves bronzed and after spring I got very few blooms. In the hot weather they did crisp. Mine is in full sun til late in the day.

RE: Munstead Wood in sun

Mine is in mostly full day sun and I've had no problems, but this past summer (MW's first summer here) was surprisingly cloudy and overcast for a good portion of the summer (leading to all kinds of leaf diseases I don't normally have to put up with--but not on MW!)--so I can't say how MW will do in our usual late-afternoon killer sunshine from now on. However, I'm used to most of my Austins as well as most of my other roses taking a break from blooming by August when it gets just too darned hot around here. My MW did slow down in Aug.

I hope with enough water it can take more sun--cuz that is where it is located--most summers anyway, and I really don't know where else I'd have room to transplant it. : (
