How would you rate these for disease and repeat bloom?

I need disease resistance and repeat bloom. How would you rate :
Reine des Violettes
Nur Mahal
La Reine

Also, Maggie tends to get signs of RRD. I had 4, and the disease attacked them, and none between. What could it be about Maggie that would make it create such conditions after many years of being in my yard? I do use Round Up, but have about 156 roses, and whatever it is just hits Maggie. I have different odd growth on some others, but am wondering about Maggie.

I have not posted for a long time, and if you don't mind, I would like very much to avoid a discussion of Round Up. If that is what it is, I do not mind your saying that, but we (I) can tend to get aggitated with long discussions of Round Up. (Sorry)

THanks for any help since I need to make some purchases.

Sammy

My RdV spots a little but it will mildew heavily if conditions are right. Mine doesn't give my any rebloom other than one or two flowers in the fall.

I grow Barbara's Pasture Rose, which may be La Reine. It will ball under damp conditions but does repeat. Reasonably healthy here, but that part is meaningless to you, given out climate differences. BTW, I have one in full sun and one in part shade. The one in part shade is lanky but is way bigger and way more floriferous. Who'd have thought?

I found Nur Mahal to be very disease resistant. My plant seemed to always have a few blooms, but wasn't ever covered in the big flush, but that may have been because it was planted in partial shade. I loved the scent of the flowers which smelled like sweetpeas to me.

Hi Sammy,
My Nur Mahal is disease resistant, among my best. My La Reine gets a bit of BS, but never defoliates. RdV tends to get bare legs by August from BS. For bloom...

Nur Mahal: consistent, but sparse after first flush.

La Reine: HUGE first flush, sparse bloom until another good autumn flush.

RdV: it's in part shade in my garden, so she does spot. I get good bloom in Spring, very little in summer, and a glorious fall flush, IF I'm consistent about removing EVERY SINGLE SPENT BLOOM ALL SPRING/SUMMER, and fertilizing the heck out of her. She must be dead-headed. Period.

I have Nur Mahal and it is one of my favorite roses. Not only is it totally disease-free in my garden, it is fragrant and thornless. My NM does not put on a big flush, but has blooms on it pretty much year-round and the blooms are large and don't fade out in the heat. This photo was taken over a year ago and, as you can imagine, the rose is much larger now.

'La Reine' defoliates from Blackspot every time it makes a new crop of foliage. My plant persisted for years in this state but finally declined to a few foot-tall twigs over the years and disappeared one winter. This is definitely one of the very worst in my garden for Blackspot. No spray = no leaves.

Thank you so much for your input. I could have made a big mistake.
Seil, our conditions are probably similar, so thank you so much.
Rosefolly, I would like a sure thing, so thank you.
Roselee, it gets very hot here, but I have had roses with problems in shade. I like that Nur Mahal is disease resistant.
John, you really really answered that question. I don't ever, and will never dead head like that. As a matter of fact, I seldom dead head. That does it for Violettes.

Molly, I might try that one.THanks.
Trospero, how pleased I am to see you post. I have really missed you here. I will not consider spray -- ever, so that one is off my list.

Thanks everyone. I have many successes, and will just repeat them, try Nur Mahal, and buy two more Maggies since she is so beautiful even though she gets shoots that spook me out.

I'm not in your zone, but thought I'd mention that I grow La Reine and Reine des Violettes.

La Reine gets blackspot and drops its leaves in my no-spray garden setting; however, it does well. It has a beautiful June flush, and scattered blooms in summer and autumn.

Reine des Violettes is beautiful. It also gets blackspot, but is hardy and delightful in the garden. It repeat blooms, but not heavily.

I have a friend about 20 miles south of me who grows all of them and they bloom constantly and she has no problems with them. No matter what I did, they were divas. My real estate is too valuable to waste time on them.
