Wild hogs in the garden seems far stranger to me than bees.
My son saw a few bees in the field 2 weeks ago, I suppose that is not normal, but what is anymore?

Global warming, anyone?

No wild hogs here.

Global warming is an average. But last winter here was no winter at all, and this winter has so far been extremely mild, temperatures in the forties at the coldest, with a few roses still blooming, not to mention the hybrid mahonias in full flower (their usual time is spring). However, temperatures are finally dropping and we're supposed to get our first freeze in a day or so. As is right. The garden is looking quite fresh and lovely right now after torrential rains, with the new growth on the tea roses and all the lush grass.

We do have wild hogs in our county, and I'm also still seeing bees since night-time temperatures haven't dipped below the high forties and lately it's been the high fifties. January and February are usually the coldest months, but last winter wasn't very cold and I have a feeling this one won't be either.

Ton of bees in my garden lately. Not many mosquitoes though, thank goodness.
