Now that winter weather has set in here, I'm sure like many of you, I'm spending a lot of time daydreaming about all the projects I want to tackle in the garden come springtime. While thinking about garden projects, I remembered reading these blog entries on Martha Stewart's blog this past spring, and thought I'd share. I'm curious how the relocated roses are doing now. The 1st link is her staff digging up her rose collection, and the 2nd is her staff replanting them. The 2nd link seems like a good tutorial on how to plant bare root roses. What do you think?

Don't miss some of the comments at the bottom. The people are a little hysterical over this.

After reading both blog posts I'm kind of curious too. Looking around I found this video Martha did of a field trip to a South Hampton rose garden that has almost 2000 roses. Worth spending the 4 minutes or so...

What, pray tell, would we do without Martha to tell us what to do and how to do it?

isn't she a whiz creative accounting too?

At least she's trying to give them a good shot at living at a new garden. I know a LOT of people would have just dug them up and destroyed them. If they live, great.

I enjoyed looking at fall photos at Bedford, her farm, also one on snow scenes, another on Japanese Maples. Fabulous!! Thanks for sharing the link. Judith
