| I just acquired about 20 weeping pussy willow seeds and have no idea how to start them. I know the best way is to start from a clipping, but I don't have that option. Any help on how to start them, time frames, general info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Annie ***sorry this is a duplicate thread. | Annie, PFAF database: Salix caprea pendula Seed - must be surface sown (not covered and at approx. 70F) as soon as it is ripe in late spring. It has a very short viability, perhaps as little as a few days. Typically grown from grafted cuttings. If you have seeds now, they are likely several months old. |

| So essentially the seeds I have will not likely be viable? |
|
| It depends on how old they are and how they have been stored. If stored dry and at room temperature, like Morz said, they go bad very quickly. |

| I think I may be out of luck then. Thanks. |
