Seems like a waste to discard plastic trays & inserts that have only been used one time.......... I know you're supposed to sterilize everything in a bleach solution before reusing, but how big a factor is sterilizing if the inserts have only been used once before? Does a quick rinse in very hot water qualify?

Nope. Fungus takes more. Just mix up a batch of 10% bleach solution and let them soak in it for a minute or so then rinse. Dave

I just use dish detergent, very hot water, and various brushes to clean them. I've never had a problem with disease. I use pro-mix and fine moss on top.
