When should pepper seeds go under the grow light

I have some pepper seeds I was trying to get to grow without much luck, so I put them over some Christmas lights and that warmed them up and now I see some very, very small sprouts coming up that are green. Now I am wondering since they are up and out of the dirt, if I should take them off the lights and get them under the grow light?

They have been in my kitchen next to a window without much light so far, I am afraid.

Or, keep them on the Christmas lights and go under the grow light?

Yes, take away your bottom heat (Christmas lights) and get them under very bright lights as close to them as possible so they do not reach for the source of light and get leggy.

Peppers like warm air temps, not warm soil temps after germination.

Yes, under the lights just as soon as they break the soil surface. Bottom heat is needed only for the germination part as Keriann said.

Done. Thank you so much. These pepper seeds have been babied for days. I have some more in a coffee filter that is starting to show signs of life...a much easier method!

Thanks again!
