| Hi,
If I get very fresh marigold seeds (directly from a seed producer) in a sealed foil package and store them in unopened packages in the frig, how long can I store the seeds and have good germination when planted? Thanks, Bob |
Follow-Up Postings:
| Marigold seeds are said to be good for about three years, properly dried and stored. I suspect you would still get germination longer than that, but probably at a lower percentage of seeds germinating. |
| No need to store them in the fridge, however. Marigolds don't need a chilling period. A pantry cupboard would be a good location, for example. |
| Thanks. I appreciate the helpful information. Bob |
