My stand is made from scrap wood, pallets and dismanteled items, recycled plastic, the lights were from yard sales and auctions, mirrors are from auctions and an old shower door, even the nails and clips for the mirrors were in a box lot from an auction. The plugs and the help assembling were donated from Dad. plant trays etc yard sales and recyled from plant purchases The only things new were a couple light bulbs, the metalic plastic, and the timmers from the dollar store. Some of the seeds and the dirt. In the photo things are a bit messy, this post gave me the shot in the arm to start to get things ready for planting Yeah! This may not be the pretiest set up but it works well for me.

Opps ment to include this in the post requesting pics of stands further down.... took me so long to figure out the whole pic thing that I did not notice I wasn't in the right place. Promise to do things better in the future.....

RE: my stand

Looks like a good set up for beginning seedlins and plant growing.
Can you move the shelves?
I have a set of shelves, but to raise or lower the seed trays--I use books under them as the shelves were built into a permanent structure.

RE: my stand

Hi, the shelves are fixed so I raise and lower with odd wood and styrafoam, the top lights can be raised and lowered but it is easier just to raise the trays. I don't really mind, when the lights are all on it is super bright and spending time playing with all the seedlings makes me happy. Last year I got a heavy duty metal rack with ajustable shelves for larger plants, but I need to get more lights. If I had my way I would have and entire green house down in my basement, wouldn't hyrdo love me then? frogged

RE: my stand

Indeed, a nice startup frame area and it is heated. Good luck
