Starting seeds indoors and bottom watering

Hello all, this is my third year starting seeds indoors. This year I bought 6 cell packs and trays to place them in. I wanted to try bottom watering. I have my seedlings set up in a closet with a heater keeping the space about 70 degrees. I them sitting up off of the floor. I haven't really been able to find much information about bottom watering.

I pre moistened my peatmoss/perlite mix before planting the seeds. When I put them in the tray I placed about a half inch of water in the bottom of the tray, enough to cover the holes in the pots. They have been like that for last night, should I leave them sitting in the water, or remove them until the top starts to dry out, like I said I haven't been able to find much info about it.

Thanks!
