Last summer I bought one Cantaloupe. It was the most sweet and tasty contaloupe I have ever tased. It smelled good too. I saved the seeds and was wondering if it will germinate. A word of caution... if those seeds were saved from a hybrid cantaloupe, it may grow a completely different cantaloupe than the one that you ate. I wish you luck with it, but unless the cantaloupe was an heirloom, I'm not sure that you will enjoy what you grow as much as the one you bought.
