| A seed or a cutting make a clone nearest to parent plant?
I am interested to get a clone from a beautiful bitter orange tree which is near by. I wonder which is the best way and if there is a small change to have any success! :) |

| Cutting for a clone i.e. genetically identical. Seed is the result of sexual reproduction and therefore will have genetic material from both parents. |

| Since you mention it is citrus you are working with, I doubt you will be able to start a cutting. Most citrus WILL come true from seed, but if you are dubious, you can graft or bud your trees onto a citrus rootstock. | For the moment I made a try with seeds. I have tried with a cutting past year with no success. I 'll keep trying with both methods and see if any result will come :-) |
