I bought delphiniums too and they take 21-28 days to germinate. Could I start these now instead?

I would direct sow cup and saucer vines.. but if you are like me, you are antsy to plant something.

I would plant delphiniums now for sure, and as long as you can keep your cup and saucer vines happy till you can get them outside I would go for it.

Maybe save a few seeds, in-case your vines get too sad inside, and direct sow them.

Thank you for your advice. I already planted the seeds. All the delphiniums into one tray and five of each kind of cup and saucer into another tray.

Make a note in your garden journal of the date you started them this year and what happens. That way next year you'll be able to remind yourself of why you need to wait a bit longer. ;)
