When transplanting seedlings do they go into shock?

Hi all,

I just transplanted some shasta daisy seedlings (2 sets of true leaves) from a large flat container into individual larger containers. Will they droop for awhile?

Another question, can I move these transplants from under grow lights and put them on a table in front of my sliding glass doors from this point on? They would be getting morning sunlight for about 6 hours and then bright light for the rest of the day. I am running out of room under my grow lights! thanks

My veggies don't droop.

They should get enough light as long as you do not run into several cloudy days in a row.

Whether they "droop" or go into shock when transplanted depends on how old they are when transplanted and the steps or manner you use to do it. The younger they are the better they do. But even in the worst case they will often recover if given a few days of shade, minimal water and no feeding.

I never have a problem unless I do a complete media change. When transplanting the whole contents of a pot there should be no shock. When transplanting into the garden from inside you must harden off a plant, then transplant in the evening.
