Which Ones Need Stratification?

Hello all =:)

I've gone crazy and purchased lots of bags of seeds and have read things on GardenWeb until I'm almost cross-eyed =:)

How do I know if certain seeds need stratification or not? Wouldn't it be nice if the package told me?

Among other things, I'd like to start Johnny Jump-Ups, Dianthus, Primula, Milkweed, and Delphinium. Can I just plant all of these today in the basement, or do they need cold treatment first???

Thanks in advance for your help.

Depends on which primrose, milkweed, dianthus you have seeds for -

You can look them up here:

Here is a link that might be useful: Clothiers germination database

I think the old T&M list is more complete and can still be found free on the net. I downloaded and printed it out years ago and keep it in a binder. It is a lot more convenient to have it so you can take it where ever you do your seeding. Al

Al, thank you also.

I'll check out that one, too. Can never have too much information.
