| I started my lettuce and spinach inside the house and the seedlings have been emerged for about a week or two. The question I have is it ok to transfer outside to the cold frame zone 6b now since it is heated and have a heat mat? The windows of the cold frame are low e double hung. The reason I ask is because I did it for half a day and the small plants two weeks old were laying over. This could have been due to a fan blowing inside the cold frame on low setting. Any help would be appreciated. I tried to keep the temps the same as inside the house around 70. |

| IMO, you probably don't need additional heat to your coldframes at this time of year unless it gets very cold and cloudy for a few days. Lettuce can handle temps down to about 23 F and spinach even lower. Young seedlings though you probably want to keep above 32F. |
